How We Actually Work

No two projects are identical, but here's generally how things unfold when we team up

Discovery & Site Analysis

We start by really listening - what are you trying to achieve? Then we'll visit the site, check out the surroundings, study sun patterns, drainage, existing structures. Getting to know the land is crucial before we sketch anything.

Concept Development

This is where it gets fun. We'll develop a few different approaches - sometimes wildly different - and walk you through the pros and cons of each. Lots of sketches, maybe some models, definitely some back-and-forth conversations.

Design Refinement

Once we've landed on a direction you're excited about, we dive deeper. Materials, finishes, structural systems, mechanical layouts - all the stuff that turns a cool idea into something that can actually be built and lived in.

Documentation & Permits

Yeah, the paperwork part. We'll prepare all the construction drawings and documents, handle the permit applications, and deal with city planners so you don't have to. We know the Vancouver building department pretty well by now.

Contractor Coordination

We'll help you find the right builder, answer their questions during construction, and review their work to make sure it matches what we designed. Think of us as your advocate on site, keeping everything on track.
